Frequently Asked Questions
What types of dashcams do you supply and install?
We offer a wide range including front-only, front and rear, 3-channel (front/rear/cabin), and dashcams designed for Uber and rideshare vehicles. All come with options like parking mode, GPS, and Wi-Fi. All devices come with 1 year local replacement warranty.

How does professional installation help?
Professional installation ensures hidden wiring, proper camera positioning, and reliable operation of features like parking mode. It also avoids interfering with vehicle electronics, which can happen with DIY installs.

What is parking mode and how does it work?
Parking mode allows your dashcam to monitor your vehicle while parked. It can record incidents even when the engine is off.

Will a dashcam drain my car battery?
There is a small amount of battery usage if hardwired but when hardwired correctly, the dashcam includes a voltage cut-off feature that prevents battery drain. It only records when necessary and stops if your battery gets too low.

What resolution should I choose?
1080p is great for general use, but if you want sharper footage or need to capture number plates clearly, we recommend 2K or 4K dashcams.

Do dashcams have GPS and time stamps?
Yes, All models have Time stamps and some models include GPS to record speed and location, along with time and date stamps for accurate incident documentation. If you'd like this option be sur to mention it so I can ensure the model selected has GPS.

Can I use cabin cameras for Uber or rideshare?
Yes. These dashcams are designed to record inside the vehicle and usually include infrared (IR) lights for clear night-time footage, helping to protect you during passenger rides.

How long does installation take?
This will depend on the type of installation, rough times you should expect:
-
12v Front only = 15 minutes
-
12v Front & Rear = 30 minutes
-
Hardwired = 1hr
-
Add 10 minutes for WIFI/APP supported for quick run through

Will installing a dashcam void my car warranty?
No, a dashcam installation will not void your warranty when done professionally. We use safe installation methods that don’t interfere with your car’s electrical system or manufacturer settings.

What kind of SD card should I use?
We recommend high-endurance microSD cards from trusted brands. Look for a V30 or U3 speed rating for best performance and compatibility with higher resolution dashcams. Be careful of fake SD cards that are prevalent with some online stores.

What’s the difference between U1/U3 and V10/V30 cards?
-
U1 (UHS Speed Class 1) and V10 cards support up to 10MB/s write speed — enough for basic 1080p video.
-
U3 (UHS Speed Class 3) and V30 cards support up to 30MB/s — ideal for 2K/4K video and more reliable for long-term use in dashcams.
How much recording time will a 64GB card provide?
Approximate recording times:
-
1080p: 6–8 hours
-
2K: 4–6 hours
-
4K: 2–4 hours
Most dashcams use loop recording, so the card overwrites the oldest files when full.
